# How to participate in an IDO by staking IDIA - Step-by-step
### **Step 1 - Connect Wallet**
Go to the [Invest Page](https://app.impossible.finance/explore), on our [Impossible.Finance](http://impossible.finance) website, and connect your Wallet.
### **Step 2 - Verify KYC**
If you have **not** done so yet, verify your Wallet [by passing our KYC process](https://impossible.gitbook.io/impossible-finance-faq/start-here/get-started/verify-kyc-your-wallet).

You only need to pass KYC once!
You can use the **SAME** wallet on any future IDOs without having to pass KYC again.

### **Step 3 - Choose IDO**
On the [Invest Page](https://app.impossible.finance/explore), select the IDO you want to participate in, under **Live Projects**.
### **Step 4 - Stake IDIA/vIDIA**
During the **Staking Period**, choose how much IDIA/vIDIA you want to stake & click on the ***Approve*** button.
Once you've approved the transaction, you need to click the ***Stake*** button & approve it once again on your wallet.

Please note that even though you **CAN** unstake your IDIA/vIDIA Tokens at any time during the Staking Period, your Allocation Weight **WILL BE REDUCED** if you do so (check [this article ](https://app.gitbook.com/o/GR101ZZbKAiD52mwW8kn/s/-Mblc6q3YEdwqoZdnD_v/~/changes/137/launchpad/launchpad-faq#can-i-unstake-my-idia-token-during-the-subscription-period)for more info)

### **Step 5 - Purchase Tokens**
When the **Purchase Period** is ongoing, you can purchase any amount of Tokens less than or equal to the allocation that you got from the **Staking Period.** \
\
Just as on Step 4, select the amount you want to Purchase, & click on the ***Approve*** button.
Once you've approved the transaction, you need to click the ***Purchase*** button & approve it once again on your wallet.

Any allocation that you **do not** buy during Purchase Period is **forfeited** & **cannot** be purchased later.

### **Step 6 - Claim Tokens**
Once the **Claim Period** starts, you can then claim your purchased Tokens!
Just click the ***Claim*** button, approve the transaction on your wallet & add the Token Address to your Wallet.

Sometimes, you won’t need to claim any tokens, as they will be sent/airdropped directly into your wallet.

### **Step 7 - Manage Participated Projects**
You can always go to the manage tab to have an overview of your participated projects and manage those tokens as well as your IDIA.
You can also use the sidebar for quick access if you click on a project row.
